We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to support the Quality Manager on a 12-month fixed contract. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for improvement to manufacturing and business processes through application of audits and data analysis. Support the NPI projects working in the capacity of Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) & Quality Engineer for the NPI project team. Works cross functionally to facilitate root cause investigations and ensure effective resolution of issues. Ensures compliance with ISO 9001, product certifications, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improve processes application of root cause analysis, working with cross functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Collect and report First Pass Yield data, initiating root cause analysis and facilitating improvements.
- Suggest and facilitate improvements to processes to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, internal procedures and customer requirements which are effective and sustainable.
- Provide daily Quality support to NPI Team and operations teams.
- Perform Internal Audits against ISO 9001, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
- Follow audit schedule to conduct workstation & QMS audits inclusive of follow up activity.
- Deep knowledge of the ISO9001 requirements with experience applying the standard.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to analyze and present data.
- Proficient in using SAP type MRP systems.
- Experience working as a Quality Engineer or in a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- High degree of creative ability, technical skill and independent judgment ability; Excellent data analysis ability, able to find deeply potential quality issues as early as possible.
- Familiar with quality improvement tools such as FMEA, APQP & PPAP, etc.; 6-Sigma background is preferred.
- Works closely with suppliers to develop processes, address non-conforming material and drive robust corrective actions.
- Drives internal product improvement activities.
- Internal auditor certification is required.
- Takes on projects and additional duties; Provides leadership for the team; gives guidance and sets priorities.
EXPERIENCE: Essential: Minimum of 5 years of quality engineering experience.
EDUCATION: Essential: BS in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
