POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Senior Program Management will partner with our global engineering teams and key customers to ensure on-time delivery of products to finished goods as scheduled by Advanced Energy’s committed shipment date, improve our ability to meet customer delivery requirements by understanding capacity, identify constraints, risks, and actively reduce lead times (availability), and minimize our investment in raw and finished material inventory where appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Program Managers and Project Managers to achieve organizational objectives.
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans for team members.
- Provide guidance and support on project planning, issue resolution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Build trusted partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support successful program execution.
- Drive continuous improvement of Product Development Processes (PDP), stage-gate reviews, and program governance practices.
- Lead a cross-functional project team through all phases of New Product Development of Hyperscale Power.
- Support Marketing and Design Engineering in preparing RFQ (Request for Quote) or program development proposals.
- Plan and manage New Product development schedules and resource plans to deliver products ON TIME and within budget.
- Manage projects according to Product Development Process (PDP) and ensure that any scope changes or changes to the financial targets are raised with recommendations for the appropriate action.
- Be accountable for project KPI’s: schedule, product and project cost targets, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide overall direction and ownership to programs, including Risk Mitigation Plans, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Act as a primary point of contact working with customer Project and Design representatives.
- Work with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure material and factory build readiness.
- Coordinate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure DFM, manufacturing cycle-time and quality targets are met.
- Ensure a smooth Mass Production product launch.
- Prepare reports and updates for presentation to customers, senior management, and internal stakeholders.
- Understand the system design to support managing a project and leading the way through problems.
- Document all aspects of the project development and ensure that data is captured and used as lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Product development management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving tools.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Capable of team building (external & internal) to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability and desire to meet project, tasks and/or assignment deadlines.
- Assertive, analytical, with strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
- Can work under minimal supervision.
Desirable:
- Experience with PCBA design and/or manufacturing - preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum processes - preferred.
- PMI or PMP - preferred.
