We’re growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Test Technician to join our development team and play a key role in bringing our technology to life.
What you’ll do: As a Test Technician, you will support the testing and development of our electric motor systems, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient execution of test procedures. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Implement and maintain safe systems of work within the test environment
- Execute test procedures, capturing accurate and reliable data
- Support the setup, debugging and commissioning of powertrain test rigs
- Identify and manage required test equipment, parts and spares
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to support product development and continuous improvement
- Provide practical, analytical input to resolve technical issues
About you: We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive and adaptable mindset, ideally with experience in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
Essential skills & experience:
- HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience working as a Test Technician within a similar industry (e.g. automotive, EV, manufacturing, or powertrain)
- Electrical/electronics background, including:
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Experience with panel wiring
- Strong computer literacy and confidence working with test systems and software
- Experience working within a demanding, hands-on technical environment
Desirable:
- Experience in a Maintenance Technician role
- High voltage training or IMI Level 2 (or equivalent) in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Systems
- Experience working with powertrain or motor testing environments
