At Advanced Electric Machines (AEM), we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team as Assembly Operators. About the Role... Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in assembling our innovative magnet-free electric motors for both serial and pre-serial production. As an Assembly Operator, you’ll work alongside a manufacturing team, contributing to shared goals and production targets. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking company committed to sustainability.
What will you do...
- Assemble electric motors, transmissions, and associated sub-assemblies using hand tools and machinery
- Comply with health & safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Interrogate and understand engineering drawings
- Adhere to standard operating procedures to meet quality standards
- Inspect and test components throughout the process to ensure product conformance
- Complete documentation (written & electronic) for traceability and record keeping
- Meet output targets and contribute to continuous improvement
What are we looking for...
- Education/Qualifications Required: GCSE’S in Maths & English or equivalent; Basic computer literacy required
- Experience Required: Previous experience of working in a factory / assembly environment is essential; Familiarity with hand tools and assembly equipment
- Skills & Attributes Required: Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; Willingness to learn and grow; Enthusiastic and proactive attitude; Team player with effective communication skills
What you will work & earn...
5-hour week. You will work; Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1.30pm (Early finish on a Friday!) £13.20 p/h rising to £14.19 p/h once fully trained
