We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our dynamic team.
The UK Buyer will be primarily responsible for managing stock levels, placing and progressing orders, and ensuring that all purchasing activities are efficiently executed using the UK SAP system.
You will continue to work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth procurement processes, ensure timely order fulfillment, and support customer requirements.
Your role is vital to maintaining the flow of materials and ensuring that ACL Hygienic's purchasing operations meet the needs of the Sales and Operations teams.
Stock Level Monitoring
- Monitor stock levels in line with parameters established by the Purchasing Manager, ensuring timely replenishment of goods.
- Identify potential stock shortages and take appropriate action to avoid disruptions to production and sales.
Place purchase orders with suppliers for goods required, ensuring that all order details are accurately captured in the SAP system.
· Order Monitoring and Prioritization
- Ensure that the SAP system accurately reflects due dates for the arrival of Purchase Orders (POs), keeping internal teams informed of expected delivery timelines.
- Expedite orders where necessary to ensure on-time delivery to customers, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any supply chain issues.
- Proactively communicate with the Sales team regarding any delays or issues with incoming goods that may affect the promised delivery dates to customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, preferably in raw materials.
- Experience managing multi-country procurement operations, including UK, Ireland, and Denmark.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and planning tools (e. g., ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle).
- Strategic thinking and planning.
