Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Formulation: Conduct a range of psychological and psychiatric evaluations using standardised instruments and evidence-based approaches.
- Medicolegal Reporting: Prepare clear, objective, and expert reports for court proceedings, insurance claims, or other legal matters.
- Treatment Provision: Deliver therapy or other interventions tailored to each client’s needs, consult and collaborate with colleagues across multiple specialisms.
Ideal Psychologist Candidates:
- Clinical, Occupational, Educational, or Neuropsychologists with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Demonstrable experience in assessment, intervention, and report writing.
- Familiarity with medicolegal processes and the ability to provide expert witness testimony are desirable.
- Experience in assessment of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and mental health.
- Must have been registered with the HCPC or relevant State Psychology for at least five years after qualifying.
Child Psychiatrists:
- Full registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Specialist registration in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Operating at consultant psychiatrist grade.
- Competence in conducting psychiatric evaluations, including risk assessments and treatment planning.
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals with autism and ADHD.
