About the Role

Advance is looking for Waking Night Support Workers in Poole to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions to live the lives they choose.
Waking Night Activities
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
- Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Supporting with independent skills
- Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
- Keeping up to date with training
- Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
- Supporting domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
About the Candidate
You don’t need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.
Qualifications
- Ideally have experience working in a care setting
- Available between 10pm and 7am
- Good at working independently and within a team
- Excellent at communicating with people
- Able to complete quality support records
- Able to work every other weekend
- Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
- Need to be literate and numerate in English
- willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
- Allowed to provide evidence of right to work
- An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered by Advance
