Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding role working for an organisation with the feminist agenda at the core of its ethos? Then Advance Charity could be the career choice for you! We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Services Manager to support our team in Brent & Ealing.

Salary: £33,000 - £45,000

We are open to candidates with different levels of experience for this role and have set a wide salary band to attract a wide range of candidates. To access the upper end of the band (£39,000 - 45,000) candidates will need to be able to demonstrate significant management experience at a high level over a number of years, for example overseeing large multi‑strand teams, or within senior management. Salary expectations will be discussed as part of the interview process.

Location: Brent with the opportunity for hybrid working

Contract: Temporary until the 29th of August 2025 with the possibility to extend

Hours: Flexible; with the option of 17 - 35 hours per week worked between Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm (exact hours to be agreed with successful candidate)

About the role

Advance are seeking an experienced manager to work within its Brent and Ealing domestic abuse team. The manager will help ensure Advance’s domestic abuse services remain safe and effective. The role will include overseeing a range of services including front line advocacy support and MARAC co‑ordination. In addition, you will provide support and leadership to the team, supporting staff to thrive. You will also lead on quality assurance, ensuring that victim/survivors in Brent and Ealing are offered the best support possible.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Support the Brent and Ealing teams to thrive, ensuring services are safe, effective and high quality
  • Provide interim leadership, including line management and support to front line staff within the team
  • Oversee services including MARAC co‑ordination, front line IDVA services, and specialist projects
  • Lead on quality assurance within the service, implementing new systems and processes as required
  • Work collaboratively alongside the wider domestic abuse management team, providing support across services where required

Qualifications and experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working within the domestic abuse sector at service management level or above
  • An excellent working knowledge of front‑line domestic abuse services including duty processes, IDVAs and MARAC
  • Experience of supporting teams in busy services to thrive
  • An excellent understanding of how to ensure quality in domestic abuse services
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding adults and children, including crisis management
  • The ability to demonstrate compassionate leadership and foster team cohesion and wellbeing
  • The ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously towards agreed goals
