This is a unique opportunity to lead Environmental Assessment at a senior level, working across a wide range of high-impact projects throughout the UK. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Environmental Assessment discipline, providing strategic and technical direction
  • Drive business development through client networking, sector expansion and bid preparation
  • Collaborate across teams and offices to deliver high-quality outcomes for complex projects
  • Maintain excellence in EIA, SA and SEA services, ensuring delivery to the highest technical standards
  • Manage and mentor staff, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation
  • Coordinate environmental assessments and consents for statutory and non-statutory projects
  • Maintain IEMA EIA Quality Mark accreditation
  • Ensure compliance with quality, H&S, and budgetary requirements
  • Support and influence planning policy at a strategic level

  • Extensive experience in delivering and leading EIA, SA, SEA, and related projects
  • Proven track record in business development and team leadership
  • Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and planning frameworks

  • Chartered status (CEnv or equivalent) preferred - support will be given to candidates pursuing accreditation
  • Willingness to travel and engage across multiple UK office locations
Desirable:
  • Experience with NSIPs and DCO submissions
  • Knowledge of additional permits/consents (e.g. ecological, FRAP, waste)
  • Experience in coastal, river or energy sector projects
  • Innovative mindset for environmental assessment and design
