Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Environmental Assessment discipline, providing strategic and technical direction
- Drive business development through client networking, sector expansion and bid preparation
- Collaborate across teams and offices to deliver high-quality outcomes for complex projects
- Maintain excellence in EIA, SA and SEA services, ensuring delivery to the highest technical standards
- Manage and mentor staff, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation
- Coordinate environmental assessments and consents for statutory and non-statutory projects
- Maintain IEMA EIA Quality Mark accreditation
- Ensure compliance with quality, H&S, and budgetary requirements
- Support and influence planning policy at a strategic level
What Our Client is Looking For:
- A proactive, client-focused individual with a collaborative and creative approach
- Extensive experience in delivering and leading EIA, SA, SEA, and related projects
- Proven track record in business development and team leadership
- Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and planning frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and project management skills
- Chartered status (CEnv or equivalent) preferred - support will be given to candidates pursuing accreditation
- Willingness to travel and engage across multiple UK office locations
Desirable:
- Experience with NSIPs and DCO submissions
- Knowledge of additional permits/consents (e.g. ecological, FRAP, waste)
- Experience in coastal, river or energy sector projects
- Innovative mindset for environmental assessment and design
