This opportunity blends technical consultancy with technology innovation. You\’ll work closely with the founders to review and approve FRAs, support clients, and contribute directly to the development of an AI-driven platform set to transform flood risk assessment in the UK.
About Our Client:
Our client is an AI startup founded by flood risk engineers and researchers. Their mission is to modernise flood risk assessment by:
- Providing local authorities with smarter tools for planning submissions.
- Delivering site-specific FRAs using advanced AI capabilities.
Their goal: streamline the planning system, enable sustainable development, and protect communities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs).
- Operate and help refine the client\’s AI platform.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulators.
- Contribute to the development of new product features and services.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Chartered status with CIWEM, CEng (MICE), or equivalent.
- 8+ years in flood risk assessment, drainage strategy, and SuDS design in England.
- Knowledge of hydraulic modelling tools (e.g. Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage).
- Interest in the use of AI in planning and engineering.
- Strong communicator with proven client and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
