I am looking for a proactive Public Liaison Officer / Wayleave Warden to support a dynamic infrastructure project in Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team helping deliver essential civil engineering works safely and efficiently.

The Role:

  • You will be a key point of contact between project teams, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders.
  • You will be responsible for arranging third-party consents and submitting formal applications in line with project timelines. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Coordinating road and footpath closures with local authorities
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications for access routes
  • Liaising directly with the project team, function leads, engineers, and foremen
  • Attending every site alongside the Wayleave Officer to support ongoing works
  • Engaging with local councils, landowners (Grantors), and stakeholders to gain access permissions

  • Speaks positively and encourages collaboration on-site and across teams
  • Builds strong relationships and is confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Is safety-focused, with a clear understanding of best practices on live civil engineering projects

Essential Experience:

  • Working knowledge of traffic management regulations
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Familiarity with civil engineering and excavation processes
