Project Planner in Bristol

Job Title: Project Planner (Contract – Inside IR35)
Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 2/3 Days per Week On-Site)

Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a major rail framework in the Wales & Western region. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to key infrastructure projects, working in a client-side role on a high-profile programme. This position is based in Bristol with hybrid working arrangements (2-3 days per week on site).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6

• Conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and reporting

• Identify and manage the critical path and key project milestones

• Interface with delivery teams and clients to ensure programme alignment

• Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements

• Provide accurate forecasting and progress tracking

• Support planning governance, reviews, and reporting cycles

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience using Primavera P6 in a project planning capacity

• Strong understanding of NEC contract frameworks

• Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Analysis (EVA)

• Strong knowledge of critical path method

• Prior client-side experience within infrastructure or rail projects

• Rail sector experience is essential
