About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Clean Water Modeller to provide technical leadership across a range of clean water network modelling projects. The successful candidate will support planning, resilience, operational strategy, and capital delivery programmes, whilst ensuring high-quality modelling outputs and technical assurance standards are maintained. This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant water infrastructure projects within a highly collaborative and technically focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clean water modelling commissions and define modelling strategies
- Deliver technical assurance, model reviews, and sign-off of deliverables
- Build, update, and maintain clean water network models
- Carry out calibration and validation using flow, pressure, and level data
- Deliver scenario modelling for growth, resilience, outage planning, leakage reduction, and investment planning
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and water industry standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, QA records, and change control processes
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and clients
- Mentor and support junior team members and modellers
- Support bids, proposals, and modelling methodology development
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- Significant experience in clean water distribution network modelling
- Strong understanding of water distribution hydraulics and operational behaviour
- Experience using modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, Synergi Water, or EPANET
- Strong technical reporting and QA experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent
- Experience with water quality modelling concepts
- Knowledge of GIS platforms, Python, or advanced data workflows
