The Role
My client is a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the UK transmission and distribution sector , delivering high-profile projects across the country. With a secured workstream for years to come, they are seeking an experienced OHL Project Manager to join their expanding team.
You will be responsible for delivering large-scale 132/275/400kV OHL projects across Scotland and the UK , initially supporting major projects in the Scottish central belt and Argyll & Bute . The role involves managing projects through their full lifecycle—ensuring safety, financial compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful delivery of multi-million-pound overhead line projects.
- Manage project planning, risk & change management, budget control, and cash flow.
- Lead and support project teams to meet key program milestones .
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards .
- Liaise with clients, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and subcontractors.
- Apply industry best practices to ensure high standards in project execution .

What We’re Looking For
- Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC) or equivalent industry experience.
- Project management qualification (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- SHE qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH) – desirable.
- Experience leading OHL projects at 132/275/400kV .
- Knowledge of DNO standards and NEC contract frameworks.
- Ability to lead project teams and resolve site challenges proactively .
- Strong financial, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.
- Full UK driving licence .
