Project: A11/A47 Thickthorn Junction
We're looking for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highways project at the A11/A47 Thickthorn Junction.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a section of works, working closely with the Sub Agent / Agent and wider delivery team to ensure works are planned, coordinated and delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
You'll also have responsibility for supporting and developing Site Engineers, Graduates and Apprentices within your team.
The Role
Take ownership of your section of works from planning through to delivery.
Coordinate site activities, programmes, subcontractors and site teams.
Manage engineers and support the development of junior team members.
Review designs, raise technical queries and manage site documentation.
Monitor progress, identify delays and implement mitigation.
Oversee quality, inspections, ITPs, RAMS and NCR close-out.
Maintain high standards of health & safety and environmental compliance.
Support commercial activities and identify efficiencies across your section.
About
You
Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous site-based civil engineering experience, ideally highways/infrastructure.
Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles and contracts.
SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.
Good communication, planning and leadership skills.
IEng/CEng or working towards professional accreditation is desirable.
