Role Overview: Civil engineering design role within a multi-sector environment, delivering infrastructure and development schemes from early feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. Projects span residential, education, and heritage, with responsibility for managing technical outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver civil engineering design from feasibility, concept, through to detailed design and construction stages.
  • Design and review drainage systems, highway layouts, earthworks modelling, and external works packages.
  • Produce, check, and approve technical outputs including drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations.
  • Ensure all designs comply with current UK standards, codes of practice, and local authority requirements.
  • Support planning and technical approval processes, including liaison with statutory bodies and approval authorities.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
  • Manage workload across multiple projects, ensuring delivery to programme, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Apply and maintain robust QA procedures and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.
  • Contribute to design risk management and value engineering where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline.
