About the Role
Our client is looking for a Wastewater Modeller with at least 3 years' experience in the UK market to support a range of wastewater and urban drainage hydraulic modelling projects. You will work across projects involving hydraulic modelling, model build and verification, network performance, optioneering and growth assessments, with the opportunity to develop your technical expertise across a varied project portfolio. The role would suit an experienced modeller who is confident working independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative technical team.

Our client is a specialist hydraulic modelling consultancy with over 20 years' experience in the water and wastewater sector. Their primary focus is hydraulic modelling using InfoWorks ICM, alongside services covering flood risk, growth assessments, environmental impact assessments, surface water management, optioneering, model verification and model auditing. The business also uses AI and automation alongside hydraulic modelling to improve efficiency and support innovative solutions across its projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake wastewater and urban drainage hydraulic modelling
- Build, verify and maintain hydraulic models
- Use InfoWorks ICM to undertake modelling and analysis
- Support network performance assessments and optioneering
- Undertake growth impact and capacity assessments
- Support flood risk and surface water management projects
- Assist with model verification, auditing and maintenance
- Analyse modelling and hydraulic data
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation
- Work closely with project teams and clients
- Contribute to the development of efficient modelling processes and automation
- Support the use of emerging AI and automation technologies within modelling projects
What Our Client is Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the UK Water Industry
- Minimum 3 years' UK market experience specifically in wastewater/hydraulic modelling
- Strong experience using InfoWorks ICM
- Experience with wastewater networks and urban drainage modelling
- Experience in model build, verification and/or maintenance
- Understanding of network performance and hydraulic modelling principles
- Experience with optioneering, growth assessments, flooding or surface water management would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Relevant degree or equivalent technical experience
