Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35, dependent on experience)

Location: Manchester (M32 0RS) - Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week in the office)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a range of ongoing projects within the UK regulated water industry. The role will focus on UMON projects at Sewage Treatment Works, working closely with a collaborative and experienced engineering design team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed mechanical design solutions for projects within the UK water sector.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Support projects through all stages, from concept development to detailed design and implementation.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience delivering mechanical design projects within the UK regulated water industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of sewage treatment works or similar utility infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Availability to work from the Manchester office a minimum of three days per week.
