A new position has just become available to work as a Senior Civil Engineer on rail based projects for a market-leading consultancy. Our client has a great portfolio of projects, which include HS2 & Transpennine Route Upgrade. This is a great opportunity to join a busy consultancy on an initial 6 month basis.
- Lead and deliver civil engineering design packages across multiple rail projects
- Undertake and check detailed designs in accordance with Network Rail standards and applicable codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including track, OLE, drainage, structures, and geotechnical engineers
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet programme, cost, and quality expectations
- Support the preparation of technical reports, specifications, risk assessments, and design deliverables
- Contribute to project planning, resourcing, and commercial awareness where required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- Strong prior civil and/or structural design experience within rail infrastructure
- Experience with stations, platforms, and/or rail depots
- Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, access routes, foundations, and retaining structures
- Working knowledge of Network Rail standards
6 month contract initially ~ Hybrid working
