The Opportunity
As the Structural Discipline Head, you'll be the technical authority for structural engineering, leading the design and assurance of major infrastructure projects across regulated sectors, including water, rail, highways, nuclear and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering design across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical leadership, governance and design assurance.
- Review and approve calculations, reports, specifications and engineering deliverables.
- Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
- Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
- Support bids, resource planning and technical proposals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, CDM regulations and client requirements.
About You
- 10+ years' structural design experience at Senior or Principal level.
- Experience delivering projects within regulated industries such as water, rail, highways, nuclear or oil & gas.
- Strong knowledge of structural design, engineering standards and construction methods.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Previous experience in a Principal Engineer, Technical Authority or Discipline Lead role would be highly advantageous.
