We are currently looking for an experienced Agent / Package Manager to join a major infrastructure project, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of key construction packages. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to an experienced Agent / Package Manager who is comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced project environment and can take ownership of packages from planning through to completion.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the safe, efficient and timely delivery of allocated packages, working closely with engineering, design, commercial, project management and subcontractor teams. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of allocated construction packages.
  • Managing subcontractors and site delivery teams.
  • Driving programme, quality, safety and productivity.
  • Coordinating construction activities, interfaces and sequencing.
  • Reviewing construction methodologies and RAMS.
  • Providing construction and buildability input into design development.
  • Supporting constructability reviews and Early Contractor Involvement where required.
  • Identifying and resolving delivery constraints and technical issues.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, contracts and project requirements.

About You

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • 6+ years' experience in construction.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience at Agent level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a construction delivery role.
  • Previous Tier 1 contractor experience.
  • HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and best practice.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and their implementation.
  • Strong subcontractor, stakeholder and team management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively while contributing effectively to an integrated project team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, document control systems and AutoCAD.

Desirable Experience

  • AFO / civils experience.
  • Structural steel or architectural fit-out experience.
  • Head house and/or urban realm delivery.
  • Constructability and buildability reviews.
  • Construction input into design development.
  • Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
  • Delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
