Location: Leeds (Hybrid working)
Our client is a small and growing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company operating across a range of industrial sectors including water treatment, energy from waste, chemical processing and manufacturing. Their projects typically involve the design, installation, testing and commissioning of process-led engineering solutions.
Due to an increasing workload, they are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a CAD Technician. This role will support projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, with day-to-day responsibilities varying as projects progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Use Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Revit proficiently
- Read and interpret P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams
- Generate 2D and 3D models using existing drawings, surveys and input from the wider project team
- Develop and review models at key project stages
- Produce drawings from models and manage internal issue processes
- Carry out internal QA checks and reviews
- Exposure to industrial process engineering, manufacturing or mechanical systems such as fluid control, pumping systems and hydraulics
- Training can be provided for candidates with strong drafting skills who may not yet have direct experience in mechanical or electrical design (for example, those from a civil engineering background).
- Ideally qualified to BEng level
- Candidates with relevant experience and qualifications such as ONC, HNC, HND or NVQ Level 3 will also be considered.
