Advance TRS is delighted to be supporting a leading electrical engineering contractor in the search for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their growing team in Hamilton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with a strong background in HV/LV electrical engineering, utilities, or power infrastructure to take ownership of operational delivery, commercial performance, and business growth across a well-established business unit.
The Role
- Lead and develop high-performing engineering and project delivery teams.
- Manage the commercial performance of HV and LV project portfolios, including P&L responsibility.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Drive health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop strong relationships with existing and new clients to secure future work.
- Support business growth through business development and strategic planning.
- Mentor and develop managers, engineers, and operational staff.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' management experience within the HV/LV electrical engineering or utilities sector.
- Strong commercial background with experience managing P&L, budgets, and project performance.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical infrastructure, substations, DNO/ICP environments, or power engineering.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Electrical Engineering qualification is desirable.
