About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) to support the successful delivery of major substation infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring environmental compliance across construction and maintenance activities, particularly within remote and environmentally sensitive locations. You will play a key role in safeguarding the environment while enabling essential energy infrastructure, working across diverse and often challenging rural settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure environmental compliance across multiple project sites, including remote rural locations
- Monitor and manage environmental risks such as pollution, waste, water runoff, erosion, and soil protection
- Conduct site inspections and audits, documenting environmental performance and identifying issues
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, landowners, and regulatory authorities
- Prepare, implement, and maintain environmental management plans, permits, and consents
- Record, investigate, and report environmental incidents, recommending corrective and preventive actions
- Deliver environmental training and toolbox talks to site personnel
- Support the preparation of environmental statements and reports
