Job Description

Join us as a Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards Engineer and play a vital role in assessing the risks for our nuclear clients, helping them and us to realise out low carbon energy ambitions, shaping a better future for our planet and its people.
Your Purpose:
- This exciting role focuses on internal and external hazards assessments and analyses, with a strong emphasis on building high-performing teams, delivering exceptional technical work, and cultivating long-lasting client relationships. On a typical day working in this role, you might be leading the delivery of high-profile hazards safety cases interfacing with civil, process or other engineering disciplines. On another day, you may be pioneering an innovative solution to evaluate the impact of meteorological hazards on the existing UK nuclear fleet. If you are more numerically minded, you could be responsible for delivery of detailed analysis to support internal and external hazard assessments (e.g. fire, flooding, seismic).
- This role will also provide you with the opportunity to work with diverse clients from nuclear new build (including fusion and SMR), defence and nuclear generation You will be keen to support technical delivery of projects, address technically complex problems and present the solutions to stakeholders. You will have the drive to deliver excellent technical work, paying attention to detail without missing out on the bigger picture.
- You will have the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within the company, taking advantage of the global expertise we have to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary engineering teams. You will also develop and mentor junior engineers to further support our growth and improve our capability for project delivery to clients whilst strengthening your leadership skills.
