I am currently working with a growing engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with around 3+ years experience to join their expanding infrastructure and drainage team. This position will involve working on a broad range of infrastructure related developments, with a particular focus on flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and detailed drainage design. The company is involved in a variety of projects across different sectors, giving engineers the opportunity to gain strong technical exposure and work closely with experienced senior staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with planners, architects and other design disciplines throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with the coordination and delivery of infrastructure packages from early planning stages through to detailed design. There will also be exposure to wider infrastructure engineering work, including sustainable drainage solutions, attenuation design and infrastructure related planning support. The business is keen to support engineers looking to progress professionally and offers ongoing mentoring and support towards Chartership.
Experience required:
- Around 3+ years experience within a UK consultancy environment
- Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- Good understanding of SUDS principles, attenuation and infiltration design
- Experience designing surface water and foul water drainage systems
- Civil 3D and InfoDrainage experience preferred
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary design team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
