Advance TRS are supporting a leading engineering organisation in the appointment of experienced Electrical Design Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to support a growing portfolio of major water and wastewater treatment projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business delivering innovative treatment solutions across municipal and industrial water projects. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to engage experienced contract engineers to strengthen their multidisciplinary design team.
These Outside IR35 contract opportunities offer long-term work on technically challenging projects from concept and detailed design through to commissioning support. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of water and wastewater treatment schemes.
- Electrical Design Engineer
- Produce detailed electrical designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Design LV power distribution systems, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and associated electrical systems.
- Produce single line diagrams, cable schedules, termination drawings and panel layouts.
- Develop technical specifications and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate designs with mechanical, process and ICA engineering teams.
- Support design reviews, technical queries and project delivery activities.
- Proven electrical design experience within the UK water or wastewater sector.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.
- Familiarity with relevant British Standards and water industry specifications.
- Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Mechanical Design Engineer
- Produce mechanical designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Design pumping systems, pipework, valves, tanks, pressure systems and associated mechanical equipment.
- Produce GA drawings, equipment layouts and fabrication details.
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation.
- Work closely with electrical, civil and process engineering disciplines.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout project delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project requirements.
- Proven mechanical design experience within the UK water or wastewater sector.
- Experience designing treatment plant mechanical systems and process equipment.
- Strong understanding of pumps, pipework, valves and plant layouts.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within fast-paced engineering projects.
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
