Advance TRS is delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Civil Principal Engineer / Discipline Head to join their expanding water team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Civil Engineer to take on a senior technical leadership role, leading the Civil discipline across a range of major UK water infrastructure projects while influencing engineering standards, mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering design across clean and wastewater projects.
- Provide technical leadership and design assurance.
- Review and approve calculations, reports and engineering deliverables.
- Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
- Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
- Support bids, resource planning and framework delivery.
About You
- 10+ years' design experience within the regulated UK water sector.
- Strong experience across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in hydraulic calculations and detailed design.
- Previous experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical authority.
- A passion for mentoring others and delivering engineering excellence.
Current Projects
- UMON 3 & 4 sewage treatment upgrades.
- Clean water main replacement schemes.
- CSO upgrades and storm storage projects.
- Long-term framework projects for major UK water companies.
