An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is a senior technical role where you'll lead electrical design on complex multidisciplinary projects, provide technical leadership to engineers, and work closely with clients and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across AMP programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the electrical design and technical delivery of water and wastewater projects.
- Act as the discipline lead, ensuring designs meet client requirements, industry standards and quality expectations.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Review and approve designs, calculations and technical documentation.
- Build strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
- Champion health & safety, sustainability and best engineering practice throughout project delivery.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Chartered, Incorporated or actively working towards professional accreditation.
- Extensive electrical design experience within the UK water sector.
- Strong knowledge of BS7671, CAD/Revit and BIM methodologies.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design projects and mentoring engineers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Salary up to £65,000.
