Advance TRS are supporting a rapidly growing consultancy in their search for a Principal Mechanical Engineer. Joining a newly formed London business unit, you'll have the unique opportunity to help build a team from the ground up, influence how projects are delivered, and play a significant role in the future growth of the business within the UK water market.

You'll lead the mechanical design of clean water and wastewater projects, producing high-quality engineering solutions while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver mechanical design solutions for water and wastewater projects
  • Produce calculations, reports, specifications and design drawings
  • Lead and review work from junior engineers and CAD technicians
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontract design teams
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements and client expectations
  • Support project planning, estimating and technical decision-making
About You:
  • 10+ years' mechanical design experience within the UK water sector
  • Strong hydraulic design expertise
  • Experience with clean water and/or wastewater projects
  • Knowledge of electrical and control systems is advantageous
  • Degree or HND qualified
  • Working towards or already achieved Chartership
