About the Role:

Our client is shaping the future of engineering within the water industry, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that make a real difference to communities and the environment. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality, technically robust designs across a range of capital projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful water and wastewater projects from concept through to completion. You will join a multidisciplinary team, providing technical expertise, supporting design delivery, and contributing to the resolution of complex engineering challenges. There will also be opportunities to mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical expertise on water and/or wastewater projects.
  • Supporting the coordination and delivery of design packages.
  • Preparing and reviewing datasheets, calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Undertaking quality assurance checks and resolving complex design issues.
  • Assisting with project planning and contributing to programme and task duration estimates.
  • Ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Promoting safety, sustainability, and compliance in all aspects of work.
  • Travelling to sites and offices across the region as required.

About you:

  • MEng/BEng (or equivalent) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in water and/or wastewater design and asset management.
  • Strong technical problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant engineering/design software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Professional membership of a relevant institution (or working towards chartership) is desirable.
