Advance TRS is working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior / Principal Chartered Landscape Architect with a strong design background and a proven ability to deliver projects from concept through to construction.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced landscape professional who can combine creative design thinking with strong technical delivery skills. The successful candidate will join an integrated team working across a varied portfolio of projects, contributing at all stages from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and on-site delivery. This role would suit an individual who is proactive, commercially aware and confident working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Strong presentation, communication and report-writing abilities are essential, along with a genuine enthusiasm for high-quality landscape design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to landscape design for a range of projects including education, public realm, parks and greenspaces, active travel schemes and design guidance documents.
- Provide landscape advice to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support business development activities, including bid preparation and work-winning initiatives.
- Manage projects and assist with financial performance, budgeting and programme delivery.
- Coordinate resource allocation in collaboration with senior landscape leadership.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team.
- Undertake site surveys, design assessments and prepare technical reports.
Requirements
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with extensive post-chartership experience.
- Degree-qualified in Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, ideally across both public and private sector environments.
- Experience within the education sector would be advantageous.
- Strong technical delivery capability, including experience of RIBA Stages 4 and 5 and overseeing works on site.
- Proven project management skills, including budget management and programme control.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of consultancy project delivery.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Revit would be beneficial.
- Understanding of BIM processes and workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and design documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
