Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Water. Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or London (Hybrid). Up to £70,000 + Excellent Benefits.
The Role
- Lead the technical delivery of complex water and wastewater projects, working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions for major UK water clients.
- Leading mechanical design on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Acting as Design Lead on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Developing innovative, cost-effective technical solutions.
- Building strong relationships with clients and delivery partners.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality, safety and environmental standards.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET, CIWEM or equivalent).
- Strong experience delivering mechanical design within the water sector.
- Experience working on design & build projects using digital design tools.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
