A major main contractor delivering works under the Great Grid Upgrade is looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor on a contract basis. This role will support the environmental management of large-scale power transmission and distribution works, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, consents, and project-specific requirements across site activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising site teams on environmental best practice and compliance
- Supporting implementation of CEMP and environmental management plans
- Monitoring site activities, audits, and reporting
- Liaising with project teams, regulators, and stakeholders as required
Ideal background:
- Environmental experience within infrastructure, utilities, or power projects
- Familiar with main contractor site environments
- Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation
