A major main contractor delivering works under the Great Grid Upgrade is looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor on a contract basis. This role will support the environmental management of large-scale power transmission and distribution works, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, consents, and project-specific requirements across site activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advising site teams on environmental best practice and compliance
  • Supporting implementation of CEMP and environmental management plans
  • Monitoring site activities, audits, and reporting
  • Liaising with project teams, regulators, and stakeholders as required

Ideal background:

  • Environmental experience within infrastructure, utilities, or power projects
  • Familiar with main contractor site environments
  • Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation
