We are seeking an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer to join our national Building Design Practice, delivering innovative engineering solutions across sectors including Aviation, Defence, Education, Energy, and Transportation. The successful candidate will join as part of the Building Technologies Group. The group consists of 13 engineers who operate out of the Epsom, Birmingham and Manchester offices. The Building Technologies Group includes the specialist disciplines required to deliver design solutions for all aspects of BEMS, SCADA C&I, ICT, CCTV and Access Control systems within the built environment.
Your role:
- Design and implement BEMS strategies aligned with building services.
- Prepare specifications, schematics, points schedules, and drawings.
- Collaborate with MEP teams and the Global Technology Centre.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and commissioning of BEMS installations.
- Provide expert advice on control strategies and emerging technologies.
- Develop in-house technical standards and mentor junior team members.
- Represent the company in client and contractor meetings.
About you:
- Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Strong background in BEMS design, application, and commissioning.
- Hands-on site experience with installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in BEMS networks, protocols, and supervisor systems.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and client-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel across the UK.
