Advance TRS are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid foundation in the UK regulated water industry to join a growing and well-established engineering consultancy. This role is well suited to an engineer with 3+ years’ experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a consultancy or framework environment. You will contribute to the delivery of mechanical designs for a range of clean and wastewater projects, including work at Sewage Treatment Works, as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The Role
- Produce mechanical designs for water and wastewater projects across all design stages
- Support AMP framework delivery, from concept through to detailed design
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers to deliver coordinated solutions
- Ensure designs comply with UK water industry standards, client specifications, and regulations
- Prepare design calculations, reports, and technical documentation
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in mechanical design within the UK regulated water sector
- Background in engineering consultancy or framework delivery
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and mechanical systems
- Confident working within multidisciplinary design teams
- Able to attend the Croydon, Swindon, or Exeter office 2-3 days per week
