Advance TRS is supporting a growing specialist design and engineering team and is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality water and wastewater treatment solutions. If you enjoy complex technical challenges and leading design excellence, this role offers real impact and progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Produce safe, high-quality and compliant process design deliverables
- Develop efficient design solutions informed by scopes and site visits
- Lead, mentor and support junior engineers and designers
- Prepare design risk assessments, technical reports and specifications
- Carry out mass balance, process sizing and hydraulic calculations
- Develop PFDs, control philosophies and commissioning strategies
- Ensure design compliance with relevant technical and industry standards
- Estimate hours for design packages and manage design change control
- Present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM and similar technical reviews
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years’ relevant process design experience within the regulated water industry
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and proven delivery experience
- Degree, HND or equivalent technical background
- Confident IT and technical presentation skills
- Bonus points for Chartered Engineer status
- Experience across both clean and wastewater treatment
- Experience of HAZOP studies (ideally as Chair)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
