An exciting opportunity for a Principal Wastewater Process Engineer to support a major capital delivery programme, working on high-value wastewater infrastructure projects with flexibility to work fully remote, while staying connected to a collaborative UK-based engineering team.
You will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle â from feasibility and design through to operational support â shaping innovative, sustainable solutions on multiâmillionâpound wastewater schemes.
What you will be doing:
- Leading wastewater process design through feasibility, outline and detailed design
- Setting technical direction and supporting strategic decisionâmaking
- Reviewing process models, PFDs, mass balances, P&IDs and supplier proposals
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental and technical standards
- Driving bestâvalue, wholeâlife and lowâcarbon engineering solutions
- Providing expert guidance and mentoring to process engineers
- Attending design reviews to present solutions and manage risk
What we are looking for:
- Extensive wastewater process design experience
- Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline (Master's desirable)
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status
- Strong technical leadership, communication and problemâsolving skills
