Our client has an exciting opportunity for Environmental Water Quality Consultants and Senior Consultants to join a growing, multidisciplinary team delivering impactful riverine and inland water projects across the UK and Ireland. This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging and environmentally significant projects, supporting water companies and wider stakeholders in developing sustainable water and wastewater solutions. You will be part of an integrated team working across the water cycle to address increasingly stringent water quality standards, climate challenges, carbon reduction and biodiversity enhancement. The position provides strong scope for technical development, professional accreditation and long‐term career progression within an ambitious and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of technically robust water quality and riverine models to support project delivery
- Identification of pollution sources, pathways and receptors in natural and urban catchments
- Preparation and technical review of evidence‐based reports in line with quality assurance standards
- Provision of specialist technical input to multidisciplinary projects and programmes
- Collaboration with clients and stakeholders across the water, energy and infrastructure sectors
- Contribution to service development and client relationship growth
- Mentoring and support of junior team members
What Our Client is Looking For
- Degree qualified in a relevant environmental, scientific or engineering discipline
- Postgraduate qualification and/or relevant industry experience within the water sector
- Working towards or already chartered with a relevant professional institution
- Experience using at least one water quality modelling package (e.g. MIKE, Delft3D, SAGIS‐SIMCAT, RQP)
- Practical application of modelling physicochemical, biological, bacterial or chemical parameters in inland systems
- Understanding of freshwater water quality standards and regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
