About the Role: Our client is seeking Civil Engineers across all levels β Civil, Senior, Principal and Senior Principal β to support the delivery of complex and high-profile clean water projects as part of the AMP8 programme. You will be involved in the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions across the full project lifecycle, working within multidisciplinary teams on some of the UKβs most critical water infrastructure schemes. Projects span asset management, strategy, feasibility, concept and detailed design, often within collaborative design and build partnerships. This is an opportunity to play a key role in improving drinking water quality, addressing water scarcity, and supporting resilient infrastructure in the face of climate change and population growth.
About the Client: Our client is a leading engineering consultancy operating at the forefront of the UK water sector. They hold multiple long-term framework agreements with major UK water companies and are delivering a challenging and high-impact AMP8 workload nationwide. Their teams are recognised for technical excellence, innovation and collaboration, working on award-winning projects that make a tangible difference to communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver civil engineering design solutions across clean water infrastructure projects
- Support feasibility, outline and detailed design stages
- Design and specify pipelines, water treatment works and service reservoirs
- Collaborate with structural, geotechnical, digital and pipeline specialists
- Co-ordinate technical outputs and ensure delivery to programme and budget
- Support and mentor junior engineers (level dependent)
- Contribute to innovative solutions addressing water scarcity and climate resilience
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
- Previous experience within the water industry strongly preferred
- Proven experience delivering civil designs within timescale and budget
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supporting or leading other engineers (role dependent)
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset aligned with strong professional values
