A leading main contractor delivering works under the Great Grid Upgrade is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in the early commercial set‑up, supporting the build‑up of rates and cost structures as the contractor begins pricing packages of work across major power transmission and distribution projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building rates and cost models from first principles
  • Supporting pricing and tender submissions for new works
  • Commercial input across large-scale T&D infrastructure packages
  • Working closely with construction, estimating, and delivery teams

Required experience:

  • Senior QS experience with a main contractor
  • Background in power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of cost build‑ups, pricing, and commercial control
