An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabrication Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Bradford. Working across a range of water projects, you will be responsible for producing fabrication designs for an in-house fabrication shop specialising in galvanised mild steel (GMS), stainless steel pipework, access fabrications and associated ancillaries. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced design professional looking to work on varied projects within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing detailed fabrication designs for GMS and stainless steel pipework systems
  • Designing permanent access fabrications and associated ancillaries
  • Supporting a range of water industry projects
  • Working closely with in-house fabricators and site installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
  • Producing pipework layouts, support designs and fabrication drawings
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards including WIMES 9.02

About you:

  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor is essential
  • SolidWorks experience would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of pipework, fittings and associated support design
  • Understanding of WIMES 9.02 for Permanent Access Fabrications
  • Previous experience working closely with fabrication shops and site installers
  • Background within the water industry or similar engineering sectors preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
