About the Role: This is a Civil Engineer position within a multidisciplinary design team focused on UK water infrastructure projects. You will support the delivery of optioneering, outline, and detailed design work across varied and technically challenging schemes. The role sits within a collaborative engineering environment delivering solutions for major UK water utilities, working alongside designers, technicians, and contractors to support infrastructure improvements across the sector.

About the client: Our client is a long-established multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in the built and natural environment. They deliver engineering and advisory services across infrastructure, buildings, and regeneration, with a strong focus on sustainable design and long-term environmental impact. Their work contributes directly to major UK water and infrastructure programmes, supporting leading utility providers across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical civil engineering work in line with client requirements and relevant standards
  • Support design activities across optioneering, outline, and detailed stages
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project plans and delivery schedules
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and third parties as required
  • Promote health, safety, welfare, and environmental compliance across all work
  • Support multidisciplinary project delivery within the water sector
  • Contribute to quality assurance and project governance processes

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Experience within the water sector (preferred)
  • Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or already progressing)
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Positive, proactive and motivated approach
  • Working knowledge of CAD/Revit and BIM principles (preferred)
  • Understanding of sustainable design practices (preferred)
  • Experience with hydraulic calculations (advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
