About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Environmental Consultant to join their Sustainable Land and Resource Management Practice. The role focuses on delivering material management, waste and contaminated land solutions across major UK infrastructure projects. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team supporting transportation, energy, buildings, places and water sectors.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver material management plans, verification reports, permit applications, waste sampling plans, ground investigation reports and contaminated land assessments
- Design, organise and undertake site investigations and waste assessments
- Audit contractors for compliance with material management plans, environmental permits and waste legislation
- Support implementation and verification of material management plans on client sites, including occasional on-site client office working
- Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors, stakeholders and internal teams
- Work collaboratively with environmental scientists, engineers and planners
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including preparation of site health and safety documentation
- Manage own workload to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to required quality standards
- Support ongoing professional development and CPD
What Our Client is Looking For
- Degree in geology, geography, hydrogeology, chemistry, earth sciences or environmental science
- Working towards Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body
- Relevant post-graduate consultancy experience
- Strong understanding of material management and waste regulations (including DoW CoP and WM3)
- Experience in site-based work including soil/rock logging, sampling and contractor supervision
- Strong organisational skills and willingness to undertake site-based work in all conditions
- Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
