We're looking for an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a multidisciplinary company. You'll manage and supervise ground investigations, collect and interpret site and lab data, and produce technical reports across infrastructure sectors including rail, highways, and waterways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ground investigation tasks and coordinate supply chains.
  • Conduct fieldwork including soil and rock logging, sampling, and in-situ testing.
  • Prepare factual reports and schedule lab analyses.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance on site.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
  • Must have at least a couple of years of post‐grad experience in the UK on geo‐environmental projects.
  • Site supervision experience (e.g. drilling contractors).
  • Strong understanding of ground investigation risks and safety.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
  • Skilled in factual reporting.
  • Progressing toward professional chartership.
  • Experience in rail/highways is a plus.

Contract Details

  • 6-month initial contract.
  • Location: Sites across Scotland.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in geo‐environmental projects.
  • Pay rate is dependant on grade: £385 per day – £590 per day.
  • Inside IR35 – role may get re‐assessed.
