About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist to support their growing Cardiff-based team. You’ll contribute to a wide variety of nationally significant projects that deliver real benefits for biodiversity, society, and sustainable development. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out ecological field surveys
  • Analyse and interpret survey data
  • Act as Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders

What Our Client is Looking For

  • A degree in ecology or a related field
  • Membership of CIEEM (Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management)
  • Strong protected species survey skills – especially hazel dormouse
  • Ability to lead protected species surveys (CIEEM Capable level)
  • FISC Level 3+ (desirable) or equivalent field identification skills
  • Protected species licences (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Full UK/EEC driving licence
