My client is seeking an experienced Senior Overhead Line (OHL) Engineer to support the delivery of complex electricity transmission and distribution projects. This is a contract opportunity suited to a technically strong OHL professional with proven experience across 11kV to 132kV schemes.
You’ll be responsible for producing and checking full OHL design packages, including calculations, reports and drawings, working closely with project managers and multi-disciplinary design teams. The role will involve leading OHL designs using PLS-CADD / PLS-Tower, ensuring compliance with BS EN 50341, CDM Regulations and my client’s internal design standards.
Key Experience Required
- Strong background in OHL design (11kV-132kV)
- Advanced use of PLS-CADD and PLS-Tower
- Production and checking of OHL drawings, calculations and technical reports
- Sound knowledge of UK, European and ENA standards
- Ability to take a lead role on complex design packages
Hybrid working is available, with a mix of office-based design work and occasional site visits. Initially 12 months duration.
