We are looking for experienced Structural Engineers to join an engineering team on the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex reinforced concrete and steel structures using advanced digital construction methods. You will collaborate with site engineers, CAD teams, and international design offices to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Modify and detail reinforced concrete and steel designs in line with Eurocodes.
- Prepare and coordinate 3D BIM and 2D drawings with CAD and design teams.
- Manage engineering changes, field requests, and non-conformance issues.
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and international back-office engineers.
- Conduct site inspections and technical reviews.
Requirements
- Civil, Structural, or Infrastructure Engineering background.
- 5+ years UK experience, ideally in reinforced concrete and steel design.
- Experience in nuclear or heavy industry projects preferred.
- Strong skills in TEKLA, CAD, and BIM workflows.
- Experience with one or more of the following software: SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, CSiBridge, STAAD, Robot Structural Analysis, Midas, SCIA, STRAP, Prokon, SOFiSTiK, Space GASS, ANSYS, Abaqus, ROCKSOIL, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, FLAC3D, LPILE, DeepEX, Geo5, Settle3, Slide2, RS2, Oasys.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

- Hybrid working between site (Bridgwater) and office (Bristol).
