About the Role

As a Project Controls Manager, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects by leading planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost management, and risk mitigation efforts. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with client and company goals
  • Develop, manage, and report on project budgets and cost controls
  • Perform risk identification and mitigation planning
  • Motivate and manage project control teams to high performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders
  • Present complex data and insights clearly and concisely to varied audiences
  • Analyse project data to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure all project control practices align with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Oversee and manage changes in project scope, timelines, and budgets

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in project controls, including planning, cost engineering, and risk management
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Expertise in Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and integration scheduling
  • Expertise in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate data for actionable insights
  • Governance experience and knowledge of compliance frameworks
  • Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
  • High attention to detail with a strategic and analytical mindset
  • Adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional integrity

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance (either in use, or previously held)
  • Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent (preferred)
